This is QUEST. selection of the top best hotels from around the World
80+ cities • 30+ countries
Is more than a decade of constantly traveling and staying in the best hotels around the World, we might have a saying in this.
I've been in countless cities and towns, in remote areas, like Patagonia, or private islands; and crowded cities like Beijing, Istanbul, or New York. And there are always some elements that make a hotel an amazing place, whatever the reason of the visit. And, this selection is made out of the top variables a traveler is looking for: THE EXPERIENCE.
This are the top factors that I used to rank the hotels; a) Service (by the staff and communication-wise) b) View (from the room, and from the hotel itself) c) Infrastructure d) Room amenities e) Comfort f) Ease to do things in the hotel, and find solutions to issues (presented to the guest or made by the hotel) g) Food and beverage quality h) Cleanliness in general |

The rooms are luxurious and the elegance is what you expect from a top joint in the classy Vienna. High sealings, amazing personalized service and curtains taken out of the 18th century royalty makes you feel you are the only one in the hotel.
The SPA is small, but very sophisticated and detail orientated. But the kitchen wins the number 1! Starting with the breakfast, with fine champaign and chefs on site to orientate you, and prepare mostly everything for this early hours, this hotel cant escape my selection and is in the top in my book! The building itself takes a prize: a 80+ story building with the hotel on the last floors, the SPA, GYM, and indoor infinity pool in the 78th floor. The main restaurant in the 79th, where you will have breakfast every morning, and the coolest bar with a live band in the 80th will give you the best views of the ancient Beijing.
Just a couple of blocks from the Forbidden City, the controversial Tianamen Square, and upstairs of the most sophisticated mall complex in the capital, hosting the top brands from all around the world (Louis Vuitton, Prada, Ermenegildo Zegna, Piguet, etc), and being part of the China World Trade Center, makes you experience China in a way that only a handful of people do. The top things for me were waking up with the historical Forbidden City out my window; the level of luxury of the room was almost incomparable with any others; being this high looking 360 degrees to the city; and the lounge in the 64th floor and its gourmet preparations makes it an ultimate high-end Chinese experience. This hotel is located near the main river in Bangkok, and it crosses most of the city. The view is spectacular as is a high rise building, and as Peninsula hotels go, the service is superb.
The hotel is classy in a way you feel entering a Brooks Brothers clothing shop, dark wood walls, and a 3 floor high sealing lobby, give you a space some definitely think will not get in a crowded city like Bangkok. For me, the chocolate shop, of in house made sweets; the room amenities, and its elegance; and the offerings the hotel has for its guest like the dedicated house they use as SPA, and the cooking lessons, with different range of options, taking you to town to pick the supplies with a Peninsula chef and later 3 dedicated kitchen staff and a chef teaching you how to make different Thai signature and typical dishes you taste in the country, makes the hotel a top hotel around the world. Plus, the view! just wait to wake up or see the Bangkok night skyline from your bed. Don't forget to leave your shoes in the small compartment near the door at night, and they will be shining new in the morning. LINK HERE |
